The political house that Jack built : [England?], [ca. 1866].

Bound autograph manuscript transcription of William Hone's work of 1819, in an unknown hand. Illustrated with thirteen hand-drawn and watercolored drawings signed by George Cruikshank. Two pages of quotes from William Cowper's poem "The Task" follows the author's dedication to "Doctor Slop" (Sir John Stoddart); additional quotes from "The Task" accompany the drawings. Inscription: Florence Bradley from her Father, August 1866, appears on front endpaper.
